You are allowed to change certain fields as desired. However, sometimes you may need to set these fields back to the default settings.
These overrides are allowed as shown below:
Pension Report: Life Expectancy from UP-94 mortality tables and Actuarial Adjustment Factor
Retirement Income Report: Life Expectancy from UP-94 mortality tables
Loan Amortization Report: Interest rate per period and calculated Payment
In some cases, the user may want to override the Divorce Math formula and use different data (e.g., in loan amortization report, use a greater payment amount to see how much sooner the loan would be paid off).
Formula fields which may be changed are displayed in soft yellow background fields. If you change these fields with your own data, the background will appear in light mauve to show that a formula has been changed.
To restore the original formula, double-click on the field and recalculate.
Recalculate to restore original formula.
Use this to save default printer margins. Caution: changes from the default margins may not produce desired printing results.
This will add a desired title (firm name) to your reports.
Header lines will print at the top of each report and are used to show your firm name and to add a disclaimer statement.
Example: A possible header might be: "Estimates Prepared by ABC Law Firm - Review with your Accountant."
Type in your header and footer as desired and this option will automatically populate the Headers and Footers fields on the main Divorce Math window each time you launch the software.
Type in the header and footer fields that you want in the left, right or center line, as desired and click OK to store this information for re-use.
The default headers and footers will be printed on all reports for that case.
Use this option to set default data for fields that can be overridden.
Use this option to reset all Pre-Set values. This will reset "all" original values.
Use this option to repair and compact your database. This utility will also automatically repair and compact your database after every ten launches.

Step 2. Click Yes when a popup appears telling you that your current session of Divorce Math will close and whether you would like to continue.
Step 3. The Utility will run and close automatically when finished with the repair and compact.
Step 4. Re-launch your software and continue with your case.
Use this option to import data from a previous version. If you opted not to import data from the previous version when prompted on original installation of this software, you may run this utility from this option.
WARNING! If you have already created cases in your latest version, this Utility will backup that file and replace it with the imported client database. DO NOT USE this Utility unless you intend to swap your new cases for the cases found in the previous version.
Step 1. Select Tool / Import Data from Previous Version.
Step 2. Click Yes when a popup appears telling you that your current session of Divorce Math will close and whether you would like to continue.
Step 3. The Utility will start running and alert you that the data you imported will replace your current data and whether you wish to continue.
Step 4. Another popup will be presented asking if you would like to import data and settings from an earlier version of Divorce Math installed on your present computer. Note: these multiple popups are presented for your protection to make sure you really want to replace the existing database with the previous database.
Step 5. If the utility is unable to find another version, the utility may ask you if you would like to find the database yourself. Click yes to proceed. Your .ini and database file will be found in the last directory where you installed your previous version.
Important: This utility will make a backup file of your current database prior to replacing it. If you did not want the previous database imported, then you may use your backup file instead. If you have questions on this Utility, please call our Customer Technical Service.
Step 6. Once the import data utility has completed, re-launch your software and continue creating new cases.
