Use this feature to save new default settings. This is the case data which is present when the software is launched.
You will use this utility to:
Update tax rates,
Change the Social Security wage base for the following year.
Use it during the year if a state tax rate changes.
Permanently save a header line for the reports.
When this is used, the new default setting is updated and replaces the data in the previous original default setting. When you select this menu, a window will tell you that the new default setting will be replaced. Select Tools, and Defaults - data. Select OK to replace the previous default setting.
